L'Impératrice

The extravagant and stylized French dance alternative group was born from the creative mind of the producer Charles de Boisseguin. Based in Paris, L'Impératrice released during their first year the debut independent EP with the same name, a success that led them to a contract with the French publisher microqlima. Boisseguin's acclaimed solo work quickly grew to include a second keyboardist, Hagni Gwon, Achille Trocellier's guitar, David Gaugué's bass and Tom Daveau's drums. Flore Benguigui's charismatic voice joined the quintet in the release of the third EP, Odyssée, which featured two more special versions: one in 2016, inspired by fans who played the album at the wrong speed and another, in the following year, in acoustic version. The French band release the debut album in 2018, Matahari.
